so here it is, my tattoo.heres the story behind it:
My father died on September 29 2011, he got hit by a truck while being heavily medicated and had consumed alcohol. Heres the link to his (short) story. The quote on my ribs reads “i was made from his rib”. I chose this quote because I never really spent alot of time with my Dad because of his drinking habit. But the few good memories I have with him, I cherish. I stopped talking to him a year before his death. My last words to my father was not “I love you.” Or “I’ll talk to you later Daddy.” It was “Fine, I’ll lose your number.” and having him hang up on me. I never got to tell him that I loved him. This quote symbolizes a religious idea that came from women having one more rib than men because Eve was made from Adams rib. I’m not religious, I didn’t choose this quote to be religious either. I chose it because no matter what hardships, or pain I went through because of my Dads problem… I’m still his daughter. He made me. And I will be forever greatful.
I love you Dad.

i thought i’d bring this back because i’d been thinking about my dad recently
